I wonder if you know?
That it’s the small things you do,
Like changing my chair when I’m not looking,
And opening the car door.
Or sending me postcards from every corner of the world,
And asking me to hold your hand when we walk home.
Or kissing me when I’m not looking,
And combing my hair before we fall asleep,
I wonder if you know?
It’s the small things that you do,
that show me the depth of your soul.
I wonder if you know?
You love in abundance,
And in the aura created by your presence …
I find myself shinning,
Radiating with warmth,
Immersed in a symphony,
Dancing to the melody,
Of your heart beating in rhythm with mine.
I wonder if you know?
Your love teaches me about life,
about equal and different as being right.
Your love reminds me of my home,
and shows me what my future could be like.
Your love encourages me,
and supports me when I’m afraid to try.
I wonder if you know?
As your soul intertwines with mine,
I find that all the parts of me,
gravitate towards all the parts of you.
I wonder if you know?
That if I could ask for anything….
I would wish to find myself by your side.
Today, tomorrow – every second,
for the entirety of this journey called life.
I wonder…
